What people actually worry about

Not “why you should.” Just what’s actually true — honest answers to the questions people ask at the counter. No hype, no promises.

01

Will hot-then-cold give me a cold?

Short answer: no — as long as you don't walk out into the aircon still wet.

We're not going to argue with 中医 about wind and cold; you can't win that room and you don't need to. What actually makes people feel off isn't the plunge — it's walking into an air-conditioned room with wet hair and a cold body.

That's exactly what the last ten minutes of every session are for: you rinse, you dry off properly, you sit on the benches until your body settles and your heart rate comes down, and then you leave. Nobody's rushing you out. The whole routine is built so that leaving cold and damp simply doesn't happen.

02

Can the heat make melasma worse?

Honest answer: if you have melasma, ask your dermatologist first.

We're not going to tell you “no” just to make you comfortable. Heat on its own — not only sun — can genuinely aggravate melasma in some people. If you have it, or you're being treated for it, sauna heat is a known trigger for some; check with your doctor before you decide.

If melasma isn't something you deal with, then no — the sauna won't give you spots out of nowhere. We'd rather be straight with you now than have your pigmentation darken later and lose your trust for good.

03

Will the sauna darken my skin?

No. Getting darker needs UV, and an electric sauna has none.

The flush you see afterward is just blood flow near the surface of your skin — nothing to do with a tan, and it fades within the hour. Ours is an electric heat sauna, not sunlight and not a UV lamp. If you want a tan, you’ll still need the sun.

04

Will this build muscle?

No. Muscle comes from training and eating — not from soaking.

Sauna and cold plunge won't build muscle, and we're not going to pretend they will. Their place is where you sit down after you train — a way to let the body wind down and close out the day. Treat it as something that supports your training, not a shortcut around it, and it'll be exactly what you expect.

05

Shared plunge — is the water clean?

The question worth asking. Most people are too polite to ask it, so we'll bring it up ourselves.

One plunge, shared through the day — the real worry is whether it's clean. The cold plunge isn't decoration to us; it's equipment we maintain on a schedule, every day, not on luck.
